Things are really revving up here at Leaf Rapids headquarters. Our first single Dear Sister was sent out into the world on March 7. We made a video for it which you can watch here. It was made with clips that friends and fans sent in, which was like receiving a little present every day. We have such a generous and creative community that we are so proud to be a part of, that we are bursting at the seams. 

The last couple of months were spent mixing, mastering and designing album artwork. The album includes a 20 page booklet chalked full lyrics, old photographs and historical family facts that inspired the songs, photos of the band in the studio, and the cover features a painting by the local visual genius, Takashi Iwasaki.

The next few months will be spent designing T-shirts, stickers, beer cozies and some special hand sewn items. We will also be preparing for a big European Tour opening for The Good Lovelies and a full summer of Canadian Folk Festivals. And last but definitely not least, we will be releasing our album, CITIZEN ALIEN, on May 3rd in Canada. You can pre-order a digital copy here, or mail-order from Coax Records here.
